You’re Supposed to be the Expert


 If one has never experienced a home renovation it’s a little tough getting some comfort with what to expect.  Even after following everyone’s advice on checking the contractor out, reviewing plans, scope of work, and  dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s it is interesting how many homeowners are still unclear what is to take place.  Why is it difficult for some homeowners to understand what their project entails while others get it?  Some struggle with visualizing what is presented to them on plan and in their scope of work and can’t grasp it until  they see  something built or installed.  If the homeowner isn’t sharing this lack of understanding and the  contractor is assuming his or her customer understands what is being presented it  can lead to  a disconnect in  production when the customer encounters a particular installation that doesn’t meet with what they expected.
